YF Life Garners Third Win at Green Council “Hong Kong Green Awards”

YF Life Insurance International Limited (YF Life) has been honored for the third consecutive year with the “Green Management Award - Corporate (Large Corporation) - Merit” at the “Hong Kong Green Awards” presented by the Green Council. The award recognizes the outstanding performance and achievements of the YF Life management and operations model in green management, green governance, and environmental, health, and safety management, as well as sustainable procurement.

With its commitment to environmental sustainability, YF Life has implemented various green measures in operations. One example is “Virtual Onboarding Platform” (VOP), launched in 2020, which allows financial consultants to present product information and onboarding services to customers in Hong Kong through non-face-to-face virtual meetings. This technology not only helps to boost service efficiency but also eliminates unnecessary paper usage, offering protections to customers while contributing to a greener environment.

In addition, with the aim of energy conservation, paper usage elimation, and waste reduction at source, by developing various online platforms, such as SMART, YFLink, and JET Claim and proactively moving towards paperless policy application processes and aftersales services, YF Life is realizing its commitment to enhancing the customer experience while at the same time fulfilling its corporate social responsibility.

Organized by the Green Council, this year marks the 12th anniversary of the “Hong Kong Green Awards”, launched in 2010 with the aim of recognizing companies with exceptional performance and constant improvements in managing eco-environment protection, health management, and safety production, as well as encouraging them to increase environmental considerations and contribute to a greener future. There are four award categories: “Corporate Green Governance Award,” “Environmental, Health, and Safety Award”, “Sustainable Procurement Award”, and “Green Management Award”. All winners are carefully selected by a professional panel of judges consisting of industry leaders and scholars.
